Through sheer pain: Randy Arozarena sets records in Seattle and Major League Baseball.
The outfielder completed his second consecutive season with 25+ hit-by-pitches and climbed the franchise rankings for walks and stolen bases.

Randy Arozarena reached base three times, extending his streak to 20 consecutive games and tying the second-longest streak in MLB history with at least one hit-by-pitch.
There are ballplayers who find conventional ways to contribute and others who, through sheer courage, aggression and total commitment, rewrite the record books. Randy Arozarena unquestionably belongs to the latter group.
In the most recent outing for the Seattle Mariners, the star outfielder once again served as the undisputed engine of the offense, reaching base three times (two walks and a hit by pitch). With this performance, according to data researched and confirmed by the Statistics Department of our media outlet Swing Completo, Arozarena extended his streak of consecutive games reaching base to 20 (a streak that began on August 31). The run ties the third-longest of his professional career, previously achieved between April 17 and May 9, 2023, and currently stands as the fourth-longest active streak in all of MLB.

The art of reaching base and the pursuit of Ron Hunt
Few hitters in the modern era pay such a high physical price to reach base as Randy. After being hit by a pitch during the game, Arozarena reached a historic mark that places him in a club that has been virtually deserted for more than a century.
With the hit by pitch, Arozarena secured his second consecutive season with 25 or more hit-by-pitches (HBP). Since 1900, that ties him for the second-longest streak of its kind in Major League history, with only the legendary Ron Hunt ahead of him. Hunt recorded five consecutive seasons with at least 25 hit-by-pitches from 1968 through 1972.
The hit by pitch was also Arozarena's 63rd while wearing a Seattle Mariners uniform, a total that ties former third baseman Kyle Seager for third place all time in franchise history.
Alongside his physical resilience, Randy's plate discipline continues to improve: his 65 walks in 2026 have surpassed the 64 he recorded last year, becoming the third-highest single-season walk total of his career in the Major League Baseball.
Pure speed in Mariners history
Randy's aggression does not end when he reaches first base; that is where the nightmare begins for opposing batteries. Arozarena stole his 24th base of the season, which also became his 59th stolen base since arriving in Seattle.
With that total, Randy tied Greg Briley for 18th place on the franchise's all-time list. Even more impressive is the speed with which he has climbed the Mariners' record books: his 59 stolen bases rank 10th among all players through their first 363 games with the organization.
Between bruises, walks and stolen bases, Randy Arozarena continues to show why he is one of the most dynamic and feared catalysts in baseball, putting his body on the line day after day to keep Seattle's postseason aspirations alive.
